COMPUTER SCIENCE

My goal for young computer scientists is for them to understand the foundational skills of computational thinking, digital citizenship, problem-solving, and programming. While teaching Lower School Computer Science at University of Chicago Laboratory School, I achieved this by exposing students to a wide variety of unplugged, hands-on activities and computer-based experiences, such as block-based coding, information-gathering, robotics explorations, and opportunities to work with applications and software. In this video, I will showcase some of the Lower School curriculum I developed.
